What is CIJ? What is the working principle of CIJ?

"CIJ" represents "Continuous inkjet". The small character inkjet printer produces a series of small ink drops and selects some of them for printing, thus forming the character on the product. Unused ink drops are recycled to the printer and eventually reintegrated into the ink stream.

The CIJ inkjet printer applies a certain pressure to the ink in the system by controlling the internal gear pump or diaphragm pump or the compressed air supply from the outside of the machine, and the ink with pressure passes through the nozzle to generate ink spots, which are charged through the charging slot, so that each ink drop that forms the code carries a different charge. Each drop with a specific charge flies through a high voltage electric field generated inside the printhead. The amount of charge on the ink drop determines how much it will be deflected in the electric field. The charged ink spots are emitted from the nozzle and hit at different positions on the surface of the product to form various characters, patterns and other marks required; Uncharged ink drops do not deflect, fall inside the printhead and return to the ink system. Because the ink injection is continuous, the machine is called continuous inkjet printer, referred to as CIJ, because its principle determines that only 1-20mm height of characters or patterns can be printed, so it is also known as small character inkjet printer (referred to as small character printer).
